Not so long ago we wrote about the iPhone 13 Pro, which was presented in September. Let’s see what Apple pleased its fans during the fresh presentation.
MacBook Pro
In the new line of MacBook Pro will be a model with the usual sixteen-inch screen, but there will also be a compact model with a screen of 14 inches.
Also for each of them independently will be possible to choose the SoC: either M1 Pro or M1 Max.
The new SoCs (according to the presentation) provide up to two times the performance in processor-dependent applications (compared to the eight-core Intel Core i9). Rendering speed (compared to Radeon Pro 5600M) at 8k resolution is higher
- In case of M1 Pro — 2.7 times,
- In the case of the M1 Max — 1.4 times.
Autonomy should please people who have to work a lot of time away from the socket: up to 17 hours of video viewing for the model with a screen of 14 inches and up to 21 — for a model with a screen of 16 inches.
The webcam has received a significant upgrade. Now the video resolution is 1080p, and the increased aperture increases the quality of the broadcast even in low light conditions.
SSD storage capacity is up to 8GB. Read speed of the new SSD is about twice that of its predecessor at 7.4 GB/s.
AirPods 3
Apple has brought the Pro and non-Pro lines of its wireless headphones much closer to each other in terms of technical characteristics. Judge for yourself:
- The new AirPods 3 inherit the design from the Pro model,
- Added MagSafe support,
- Adaptive EQ is present,
- There is support for Dolby Atmos.
Both devices share the same controlling Apple H1 CPU.
The only significant difference is the lack of active noise cancellation in the lower model.

Apple said that for the following regions:

A subscription called Voice Plan will be available. It will be half the price of a regular subscription ($4.99 USD vs. $9.99 USD).
The benefits are clear, but Voice Plan allows users to control music playback solely by voice. Users won’t be able to create playlists or manage music on their own other than through Siri.
